Food Microbiology

One of our strengths are the microbiological analysis, carried out on food, feed, surfaces and air. The analysis comply with the standard requirements to verify the healthiness of food and livestock products and to ensure environmental hygiene.

The laboratory performs a wide range of microbiological values with qualified personnel with multiannual experience in the fi eld. It is also equipped to directly carry out samplings and withdrawals.

A widespread presence of our laboratories on the national territory ensures analysis fast processing which must be performed a few hours after sampling on site.

Our main services:

  • Control for pathogenic organisms and bacteria that can cause food infections: Salmonella spp., Listeria spp. and Listeria monocytogenes, Bacillus Cereus, Clostridia, Staphylococci, etc.
  • Quantitative analysis of poor hygienic quality and deterioration: microbial counts, coliforms, Escherichia coli, sulphite-reducing anaerobes, yeasts and mould, enterobacteria, etc.
